A Sioux City Native with a Passion for Skincare and Service
Born and raised right here in Sioux City, Laiken has always had a love for helping people feel confident in their skin. Her journey began in 2014 at the Aveda Institute of Des Moines, where she studied Cosmetology and discovered her passion for skincare and her patient’s experience.
After graduation, she began her career at a salon, providing hair and makeup services that helped her build a strong foundation in artistry and customer service. From there, she joined the Clinique skincare and makeup counter, where she spent five years as Manager. That role deepened her product knowledge and strengthened her ability to guide patients toward effective skincare solutions.
“I’ve always loved seeing the confidence that comes from healthy, glowing skin,” Laiken shares. “Helping someone feel their best is what keeps me inspired.”
Advancing Her Skincare Expertise
In 2019, Laiken decided to take her skincare passion even further by returning to Aveda—this time to earn her Esthetics license. Since then, she’s spent six years as an Esthetician and Nail Technician at a local casino and resort, mastering a wide range of treatments and building a loyal patients.

“They keep me active and bring so much joy to my day,” she says. “Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors and relaxing with friends and family.”
