Reveal newer, softer skin by removing damaged layers with chemical exfoliation tailored to your specific skin concerns.
A chemical peel uses acid to remove layers of damaged skin, revealing newer, softer skin beneath. The acids we use range from mild to strong. The stronger the acid, the deeper it penetrates. Deeper peels are typically used to correct acne scarring, fine wrinkles, or more serious pigmentation issues.
The Jessner Peel: Removes superficial layers of skin, dries out active acne, dislodges blackheads, reduces shallow wrinkling and scarring, and helps lighten hyperpigmentation.
Obagi Blue Peel: A more aggressive treatment, performed by Dr. Hansen, that removes layers of aged, sun-damaged skin and discoloration, accelerating skin renewal.
Salicylic Acid Peel: A topical acid solution that reduces scarring, fine lines, wrinkles, and other blemishes, leaving skin fresher and more youthful-looking.
The ZO 3-Step Peel: An in-office treatment targeting melasma, acne, fine lines, rough texture, large pores, and dullness, followed by an at-home regimen for longer-lasting results than an ordinary peel. Suitable for all skin types.
The Reveal Peel: A peel-off application method that renews dull, tired-looking complexions by lifting away dead skin to reveal a fresher, softer texture.
Protein-Rich Retinol Peel: Can be performed alone or after microneedling. Its microencapsulated retinol releases slowly into the dermis to stimulate more collagen growth and repair cell damage.
If you want to improve your skin’s tone, texture, and appearance, you’re a good candidate for a chemical peel, including for aging or sun-damaged skin. With options ranging from glycolic and Jessner’s to lactic, salicylic, mandelic, azelaic, and TCA peels, our team will help you decide which peel best suits your skin and lifestyle. Peels are suited for all skin tones.
There’s a small risk of infection with chemical peels, increasing slightly with more aggressive peels, though overall risk remains low even for deeper treatments. If you have a history of cold sores, let your provider know beforehand, since treatment can trigger an outbreak that spreads across the treated area; an antiviral medication can be started proactively.

The chemical agent is applied to the skin, sometimes in layers. Some peels are neutralized with another product after a set amount of time; many newer peels don’t require this step. A moisturizer and sunblock may be applied afterward.
Results build over one to two weeks depending on the strength of peel you choose.

Results vary depending on the strength of the peel. Mild peels remove only the superficial skin layers, so results are subtler. Medium peels are more aggressive and can reduce fine lines and sun damage. Deep peels, performed by medical staff, can address concerns that are more advanced or rooted in the deeper skin layers.
Yes. Darker skin types can be treated with the appropriate peel, though proper pretreatment and sun protection following treatment are especially important to avoid pigmentation changes.
Long-lasting results depend on ongoing skin care and sun protection. Limiting sun exposure, avoiding smoking, and maintaining a consistent skincare routine all help protect your results as your skin continues to age.
