#NoFilter on Your Selfies

As society becomes more and more focused on social media and the importance of a youthful appearance, there is more pressure on our industry to reverse the signs of aging.  A product that I am very excited to launch in my practice is “Sculptra” by Galderma, the maker of Restylane.  Sculptra is injected into areas of the face that have lost volume due to the natural aging process or areas that a patient desires more fullness such as the cheeks. This non-filler (PLLA) poly-L-lactic acid then gradually stimulates the body to produce its own collagen giving a beautiful, soft, gradual fullness over 2-4 months with the cosmetic result that lasts 2 or more years. Sculptra is a great choice for younger and older patients alike who desire a natural approach to anti-aging.  I think this will be a game changer for patients who desire results without a “filled” look!
