Complete removal
Fade an unwanted tattoo until it’s no longer visible.
At Lazaderm Watertown, a physician-led team uses advanced, multi-wavelength laser technology to fade unwanted tattoos safely, no matter the size or color.
Whatever type of tattoo you have and whatever your preferences, our Watertown team can help. A few of the most common requests we receive are for:
Fade an unwanted tattoo until it’s no longer visible.
Erase just one piece, such as a name, a date or a mistake, and leave the rest untouched.
Lighten existing ink so your tattoo artist has a clean base to design over.
Modern multi-wavelength lasers handle the tough shades, not just black.
Shop work, stick-and-poke and old homemade ink all respond to treatment.
From wrist to ankle to back, we adapt the approach to fade the tattoo.
Clear away ink that no longer represents you.
Built-in cooling technology and optional topical numbing keep each visit manageable.
Curious how the laser actually breaks down ink and how many sessions your tattoo might need? You can schedule a free Watertown consultation or find out more on our main tattoo removal page.

We want you to walk out of your consultation with all of the information you need to make a decision for you and your tattoo. We will discuss how old your tattoo is, its location, its depth and how quickly specific colors can be expected to fade. We will give you an estimate of cost and how many sessions to expect, all without locking you into a commitment.

The laser moves across the tattoo in quick pulses. Most people compare the feeling to a rubber band snapping against the skin, and cool air from the device keeps the surface cool and takes the edge off of any discomfort. Small tattoos can be done in just a few minutes, while large tattoos may need to be treated in sections.

Once the laser shatters the ink, your body’s immune system carries those particles away over the following weeks. You will notice the tattoo continuing to fade between appointments. We space your sessions four to six weeks apart to let the skin recover fully.
Cost at our Watertown clinic depends on the size of the tattoo, its colors, and how many sessions it’ll take to clear. Every piece is different. We sort all of that out at your free consultation, so you’ll walk away with a detailed estimate before booking a single session.
Laser Tattoo Removal at our Watertown location is performed by Dr. Lornell Hansen II, MD, and Laura Bleeker, NP-C. Read more about Dr. Hansen and Laura on our website.
At Watertown, we can fade an existing tattoo enough that your artist has a much cleaner surface to work with, or you can have us remove just the part that you want gone. Bring a photo or your cover-up idea to your Watertown consult, and we’ll map out a plan.
