In the past 12 years, Physicians Vein Clinics has grown to 12 clinics located in South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, and North Dakota.

Position Summary

The Medical Liaison is responsible for maintaining relationships with practice referral sources and the community to enhance the maintenance and growth of the practice. This position will be involved in all aspects of the marketing strategy. Assisting Marketing Director with various types of marketing collateral, communications and ensuring brand consistency across the organization.


  • Business Development:

    • Identifies potential referral sources; conducts face-to-face meetings with local businesses, employees, and community leaders to develop relationships; increases referral base. Design and execute new programs. Maintain a lead tracking system.

    • Serves as a liaison between practice and referral sources to solve problems; creates, guides, and replenishes education and marketing supplies.

    • Effectively communicates with management and appropriate departments to keep them apprised of all problems or complaints regarding referral sources.

    • Ensure referring sources have the tools and resources available to access most current information, forms and understanding Lazaderm’s website.

  • Marketing:

    • Conducts market research to stay informed of all local activity, competition, demographics, new providers etc.

    • Communicates with management and physician partner about marketing initiatives and project metrics, as well as to brainstorm fresh strategies.

  • Events:

    • Plan and deliver exhibitions, events, corporate hospitality, and conferences.

    • Assist with promotional merchandise, flyers, pre- and post-event marketing.

    • Detailed event admin and logistics

    • On-site management and post-event analysis

  • Public Relations:

    • Assist with writing of press releases and trade article studies.

    • Maintains necessary inventory of promotional and educational materials for all referral sources.

    • Administers e-communications with referring community (e-newsletters) on a regular basis and works to build and maintain email list.

    • Formally represent Lazaderm and Physicians Vein Clinics in the communities we serve, to include outreach activities, health fairs, local membership organizations such as Chamber of Commerce, Sales and Marketing Executives, Downtown Association, and other community events.

  • Administrative

    • Database management

    • Tracks referrals and prepares referral pattern analysis for management.

Work Experience Requirements

  • Minimum two years of business development experience preferred.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.

  • Experience of working in a graphic design or marketing role beneficial.

  • Creative with good attention to detail

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to use applicable software programs, excel and social media tools.

  • Ability to travel regionally.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Have excellent presentation skills, public speaking, proven negotiating skills, and effective interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from referral sources, patients, and other customers.

  • Ability to problem-solve and creates innovative solutions. Presents highly professional image.

  • Anticipates creative ways to support community and professional relationships.

  • Builds trust, values others, communicates effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, and demonstrate high integrity.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred and/or five years of experience in a related field or training and/or training in marketing, sales, public relations, or communication.
