Ambulatory Phlebectomy

The Ambulatory Phlebectomy (AP) procedure removes veins through a series of tiny incisions using specialized clamps and hooks. The incisions are so small that no stitches are required. Even large varicose veins may be removed through the tiny incisions using this technique. Since visible surface veins are surgically removed, the results are usually immediate, and recurrence is unlikely.

Ambulatory Phlebectomy

Ambulatory Phlebectomy (AP) is an outpatient procedure that only uses dilute local anesthesia, usually in conjunction with endovenous laser ablation. Following an AP procedure, compression stockings and bandages are worn, and walking is immediately encouraged to increase venous flow and reduce the risk of blood clot formation. Complications are minimal.

If you suffer from varicose veins, Dr. Hansen of Lazaderm and/or Physicians Vein Clinics will provide a skilled evaluation to determine which type of treatment is best for you.
